Swimming on Table Rock Lake remains a popular draw for Branson visitors and among the swimming options there are two main types from which to choose.
Designated Swimming Areas
The first type of of swimming options available for Branson's vacationers is the designated swimming area. These "swimming zones" can be found all over the lake and are recognizable to many by the floating rope surrounding the actual swimming area. Some of the more popular swimming areas on Table Rock Lake include:
- Moonshine Beach
- State Park
- Long Creek
Action Points For the Adventurous Type
Although there are designated swimming areas all over Table Rock, many find some of the other swimming areas to be an adventurous alternative. One popular site can be found just off the main channel of the lake. Known as the "Jumping Bluffs" and other various names, these 'bluffs' would literally be cliffs if not for the lake since the vertical sides extend down into the water for many feet.
On any given day during the Summer, screams of excitement accompanied by the laughter echoing across the surface of the water can be heard all around this popular site. Boats of spectators surround the area as family members record and take still photos of the impromptu competition that often surfaces as a result of the spectacle. For years, vacationers have been enjoying these features of Lake Table Rock.
No matter whether your family enjoys the subdued nature of the designated swimming areas, or if you prefer the more energetic, enthusiastic environment found at the bluffs above the lake, there is a swimming environment geared toward your family vacation.
